TOP MANAGEMENT
Wang Kong Choi served Singapore's national line, NOL, for 14 years, from 1978 as a deck cadet to 1992, as a master on board various vessels in the NOL's fleet. He landed his first shore job as one of the first 3 port State inspectors in Singapore with the then Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) and the then Singapore Marine Department (MD), in 1993. In the re-organization of PSA and MD into the Maritime and Port Authority of SIngapore (MPA), he was roped into the newly formed regulatory arm, MPA in February 1996 where he worked as Marine Officer (Prosecution), Head of Enforcement (later Marine Safety) and Manager of MPA's Integrated Simulation Centre. At the end of 2005, he left MPA and started the METS business with colleagues from the MPA. Wang is a 6-sigma black belter and holds a MBA in Strategic International Business Management.
Solo Chulawi served APMoller for 8 years, from 1989 as a junior engineer to 1996, as Chief Engineer on board various vessels in the APMoller's fleet. He came ashore in 1996 and was with Patria Overseas as technical superintendent, thence with ABS from 1997 as surveyor for offshore to 2006 as Principal Surveyor for Offshore dealing in rig surveys. Solo joined the then Premium Drilling as its assistant operation manager from 2006 to 2009. Armed with vast experience in rig and marine engineering and operation, he joined METS in 2009.
Chua Kim Thor started his sea career in 1972 with a large tanker operator in Hong Kong. Having served in various shipping companies worldwide, he finally joined Singapore's APMoller in 1984 and was promoted to its Deputy Personnel Manager in 1991. Chua moved on to become the manager of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)'s Marine Services Department. After his tenure in the MPA, he moved onto IMC and then MSI (IMC shipmanagement arm). With his vast marine and offshore crewing experience, he is now advising METS Group on marine and offshore crewing and support METS' offshore support services.
Khin San Thar graduated with a BSc in 1997 and pursued a career in tourism in Myanmar after graduation. She joined METS in 2009 as its manager in Yangon office. With her dedicated team operating out of Yangon, Khin had since completed numerous offshore oil and gas exploration and production projects in Myanmar on METS' behalf.
MA-ANNE SOLIMAN- graduated from the St. Paul University in Quezon City, Philippines in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Major in Information
Technology. She is a member of Junior Philippines Computer Science Society and Information Technology Society. She had been a Process Analyst in a major Philippine bank for more than 3 years before pursuing a career in the oil and gas Industry in Singapore. Her combined work experience brings along expertise in Business Process Analysis, Business Management, Customer Service and Technical Supports. Marnellie is the Manager of the METS Group.
FARAH SOPHIA- graduated from the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) with a Diploma in International Business. She had worked in the education and sales sector before moving to the oil and gas Industry. She brings along with her more than 4 years of combined work experience in the field of sales, administrative work and recruitment skills. A young and dynamic individual, she possesses multi-lingual proficiency and good work coordinating skills within the team in METS Group.
CINDY YALUNG- is a Licensed Chemical Engineer who earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of the Philippines Los Banos (1998), pursued Post Graduate Studies and earned a Diploma in Management at De La Salle University Manila (2004). Cindy is also a member of the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers and UPLB Society of Chemical Engineering Students Alumni Association. She has more than 12 years combined work experience in compliance and quality management, internal audit, supply chain, technical sales, marketing, logistics and customer service.
CRIS VIACRUCIS- graduated from Philippine College of Criminology, in Sta Cruz, Manila, Philippines in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology major in Intelligence and Investigation. She is also a member of Professional Criminologist Association of the Philippines (PCAP). She has 10 years of extensive experience in Admin job, Sales, Recruitment, Customer Service and Food and Beverages.
SERI IDAYU- studied at the Institue of Technical Education and earned a certificate in office skills at BMC GROUP OF School. She was involved in sales job for 4 years and during her spare time, she leads primary and secondary students in Leadership camps. Her previous work experiences bring with her the administrative skills utilized in handling training coordination and office task management. Seri is known to deliver tasks with her bubbly and hardworking persona
SYAHIDA SAHARI- A fresh graduate from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Maritime Transportation Management. She had worked in oil and gas industry during her internship for 8 months. With this, she had applied her skills and experience into the well-being of METS.
