Training




All functions that require acquired skills, education, and experience and which could be adversely affected by the lack of such, are identified, categorized, and documented. And all personnel performing these functions are suitably qualified and experienced. Skill-requiring functions such as navigation, line handling, maintenance, steering, watch-keeping, fire prevention, fire-fighting, first aid/medical, and survival are subject to training and/or certification. Mandatory safety training and in-house enhancement safety training (e.g. Safety Training Observation Program and Toolbox Safety) is given to crews. While in-house general vessel operational safety training is given to office staff.
